After our time in Elgg we went to the Palatinate area in Germany, where our son J.C. was born,
after which we wanted to go to Spain, but that didn't work out, so we went to Dresden in former East Germany instead, where we survived a tough winter.
Craving for some sunshine we wound up back in Switzerland on a campground in Eschenz on the lake of Constance.
There we met another Christian family who invited us to play some songs in their church in Zurich. Wondering what I could possibly play for our brethren, the Lord gave me this song, originally in German...

To My Family

Our community was planning to produce a tape with some of our original songs in German, so we got together as a team of 4 musicians and started working on translating and rehearsing the songs. A few weeks later we were ready to record the vocals over the original backing tracks of the English versions. For this purpose we went to Paris, where we spent the following 6 weeks recording our songs, and where one day I wrote this song for my family of three...
I had no clue whatsoever that it was all going to come to an end someday, but I still somewhat believe in the veracity of the song, seeing it in the scope of eternity.
